Kobane Canton has seen and witnessed genocidal blockade for nearly two years and ongoing, fierce terrorist attacks by incitements groups represented by the terrorist organization Daesh (ISIS) creating a real humanitarian catastrophe in the province and the countryside.

The current attacks continuing for more than four months aim to empty the province of its population under pressure, threats, murders and bomb shelling. And they reflect a desire to displace Aboriginal for goals and objectives may relate to demographic change to fit their agendas and strategies of anti-diversity.

The ongoing besiege and attacks disrupted in all walks of life, leaving destruction and devastation almost complete infrastructure. Along with the looting and vandalism in the district centre and surroundings. This puts us in front of the enormous human responsibilities require us to accelerate to the attention of the free world as well as international bodies and organizations.

First and foremost the United Nations, to this humanitarian disaster to our province, to do their humanitarian and moral obligations towards these affected geographic. Preparing for the reconstruction of the province. The first to open a humanitarian corridor to facilitate all means and ways of saving people from suffering, displacement, hunger and shelter for the returnees.

lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllFor its humanitarian and administrative responsibility towards people of  Kobane and our different variations. The Executive Council in Kobane Canton –  Syria, entrusts us with establishing Reconstruction Kobane Board. Which is made of professional characters capable of utilizing reconstruction to censuses, survey and document the damage. In addition to preparing studies and designs on this topic. And also connect with organizations that want to provide support and assistance for the reconstruction and humanitarian professionally to get funding.  Along with follow-up reconstruction on the ground and to contribute to its implementation after complete liberation of the city and countryside.

Since it’s a fateful step designed to bring life to our province, it requires concerted efforts and possibilities harnessed in the service of the successful reconstruction operations. Whether through effective participation or provide the Board with suggestions and opinions that will activate it. The most obliged people are the technical and academic who are expert in this field.

In addition to the above, we will elect the members of the administration council, as well as appoint representatives in Europe, Turkey, Kurdistan, the Gulf States and other countries of the world.

Note: Population of the city is (200,000) + (250,000) in the countryside (about 400 villages and farms) in Kobane canton. In addition to (75,000) displaced people from the other Syrian cities and towns that fled to Kobane during the Syrian crisis. The whole population is about (525,000).

Our argent and essential needs in Kobane:

Health field:

There were five hospitals in Kobane- a state hospital and 4 private ones- but the last ongoing attacks destroyed all of them. So there is argent need to build a hospital at least to take care of our ill and injured people.

About 80% of the city is destroyed and 20% is damaged. So infrastructure (drinking water, electricity, sewer system, streets……) also destroyed.

Education and Teaching system:

We had (42,000) students in (46) schools.

13 schools of them are in the city – at 3 of them destroyed completely and the others damaged.

The city is divided to (13) parts (suburbs). No service machines to carry rubbish out of the city.

Kobane is besieged from the three Syrian side (East, south and west). The northern side is the Turkish borders, which is also blocked.  But the Turkish authorities just let two trucks of essential things for life to be crossed to Kobane every day. So there is shortage of everything.

There is an urgent need to a camp for (10, 000) people whose houses are completely destroyed.

Note: Institutions, organizations or countries that want to help can either reconstruct a part of the city, build a new village as a suburb for the city, a school, a hospital ………
